SARAH MARONE (Tina Modotti/Ensemble/Understudy to Frida Kahlo) is excited to be making her debut with the GHDT for La Casa Azul. She has most recent been seen onstage with Footlite Musicals in Hairpray! as Amber Von Tussle. Sarah’s other roles at Footlite include Rita (White Christmas) and Gloria Upson (Mame). Sarah debuted with the Indianapolis Opera in 2013 where she appeared in Three Penny Opera, Viva Verdi! Gala, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. A graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance, Sarah was seen on stage in L’amico Fritz, Suor Angelica (Sister Moniter), and Dido and Aeneas (The Spirit) with the Ball State Opera Theatre. Sarah has performed in local and international venues, taking the stage in Ireland, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
